The AIDA 4* freediving course represents the pinnacle of training for those passionate about the underwater world.
This course is not just about diving deeper; it’s about mastering advanced techniques like FRC diving and mouthfill equalization.
Safety and theory also play vital roles, equipping you with essential knowledge for deeper dives.
You'll explore various freediving disciplines such as STA, DYN, CWT, FIM, and optionally VWT, with a main focus on CWT.
Alongside in-water skills, you'll learn to provide proper warm-ups, engage in body stretching, and understand nutrition, all of which are crucial for your growth as a freediver.
### Purpose of this Course
- Prepare you for the “assistant instructor” role.
- Provide a solid warm-up session for both confined and open water sessions.
- Guide students of all training levels during their sessions under an instructor's supervision.
- Manage open water freediving equipment independently, including using knots, adjusting the diving line’s depth, and responsibly utilizing additional gear.
### Pre-requirements
- You must be 18 years or older (or 16/17 with parental/guardian consent).
- Completion of the AIDA 3* course or possession of an equivalent freedive certificate is necessary.
- A valid first aid/EFR certificate (not older than two years) is also required.
### Course Requirements
- Static dive of 3:30 minutes.
- Dynamic dive of 70 meters.
- Constant weight dive between 32 - 38 meters.
- Theory exam.
- Leading a full warm-up/stretching session.

- Two confined water sessions.
- Four open water sessions.
- Mouthfill & advanced Frenzel workshop.

The AIDA 4* freediving course is the highest attainable training level in the context of recreational freediving. The aim of this course is to familiarize you with more advanced freediving techniques such as FRC diving and mouthfill equalization.
In addition, you learn safety procedures for deeper diving and you gain even more theoretical knowledge about advanced topics within freediving.
You will develop skills in various disciplines of freediving: STA, DYN, CWT, FIM and optionally VWT, although the main focus is on CWT.
In addition to the inwater skills, you will also become acquainted with providing warm-ups and body stretching, specific stretching of the respiratory muscles, various training concepts and nutrition; which will benefit your development in freediving.
